Laos, nestled in the heart of Southeast Asia and nourished by the Mekong River, is a land of stunning mountains and diverse ethnic cultures, deeply shaped by Buddhist traditions. Yet despite its natural beauty, Laos remains one of the region’s poorest countries. In remote highland areas, families rely on subsistence farming, earning meager incomes and struggling against market fluctuations and natural hardships. Infrastructure is limited, with many villages lacking proper roads, electricity, and clean water. Education and healthcare resources are scarce, leaving orphans and vulnerable children without safe living conditions or opportunities to learn.
In this context, external support is vital. Scholarships, food assistance, and community empowerment can provide stability and hope, ensuring children not only survive but also gain the chance to pursue their dreams.
Since 2025, Happy Tree has begun orphan care work in Laos, partnering with local communities to build brighter futures. This is not only material aid but also a message of compassion, helping children believe they deserve a tomorrow filled with possibility.
