Financial Assistance for Underprivileged Children Living on the Thailand-Myanmar Border
In the Omkoi area, located at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, hardworking Karen people reside. This beautiful land, though picturesque, faces shortages of electricity and running water. Due to its remote geography and economic difficulties, villagers struggle to provide quality education for their children. Many girls marry in their teenage years, taking on family responsibilities, while boys work in nearby fields for meager wages.
Against this backdrop, the Tee Bon Kee Children’s Center and dormitory, founded by a Karen pastor, shines like a beacon of hope, dedicated to providing nourishment and education for the children in the region. The center currently cares for over 20 lovely children, bringing them hope and possibilities for the future.
