Baku Community Centre
Baku Community Centre was established in 2019 and is located at the Garbage area in Phnom Penh. We aim to serve the vulnerable communities by providing various supports.
Children live in garbage hill often lose the opportunity to go to school as they have to help their families to pick garbage for living. We believe education is a way to break the vicious circle of cross-generation poverty hence we provide reliefs to the families so that children have the chance to attend schools.
Our medical volunteers team and dental volunteers team visit the centre and provide free consultations to the villagers from time to time as well as distributing vitamins, iron and calcium tablets and also conduct workshops on basic health knowledge.
Volunteers from Hong Kong also organise various activities for the children and villagers at the centre to bring laughter and joy to the vulnerable group.
