Take Care of AIDS Impacted people

AIDS has become a global epidemic. Due to inadequate knowledge of AIDS and education in prevention and personal safety knowledge, it is especially severe in less developed countries. The public ignorance regarding AIDS has resulted in a striking number of AIDS infection. Many children are born with the virus through mother-baby transmission of HIV, and most are orphaned once the mother passes away from AIDS.

Happy Tree Social Services established House of Rainbow Bridge Hospice Orphanage in Phnom Penh in 2004, providing a home for HIV+/AIDS affected orphans. There, they receive medication and education, as well as love and care. House of Rainbow Bridge symbolizes a bridge connecting the earth to Heaven. With our efforts, we hope they can complete their last journey with dignity and in peace.

Study in P5

My parents passed away from AIDS. In addition to my being HIV positive, I was also growing weaker from a lung infection. After living in HRB, my lung disease is cured and I am much happier than before. Now I eat a lot more and am now called “Big Brother” by the little kids and have become much stronger. I am now studying at the primary 5 level. Although I am much older then my classmates, I study hard. Last year, I was able to participate in the annual party!
