The school has now 440 students, including 239 students encountering extreme poverty, that is, after the home-visits and evaluation by teachers and social workers, their families are regarded as having acute financial difficulty that they find it hard to pay the tuition and other school expenses (such as books and stationary). The average monthly family income of an extremely poor student is about 3000 rupees (HKD500/RMB435), and the family has at least 3 children going to school. Therefore, the school offers discounted tuition of 50 rupees to them. Also, the school subsidizes them with books, stationary and school uniforms. Under more special circumstances, free lunch will be provided.

Your little money can give them a giant shot of support. Only RMB200 dollars can help the extremely poor students to pursue their studies. Through learning and acquiring knowledge, they can therefore create their own future and save themselves from the destiny of poverty.
